DEET is effective against house mosquitoes (Culex species) and mosquitoes that cause malaria (Anopheles species) and yellow fever (Aedes species). Care Plus Deet is also effective against ticks (Ixodes species), which can cause Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis. DEET is recommended for areas where there is a risk of malaria and yellow fever.

Warning! DEET corrodes certain materials. Contact with plastic and painted surfaces such as spectacle frames, cameras and table tops should therefore be avoided. We recommend that risk groups, such as pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, do NOT use DEET. Instead, you should opt for Care Plus Anti-Insect Natural, based on lemon eucalyptus extract (citriodiol). This powerful insect repellent can be used on children as young as 3 months old.
