The clip attachment option for the double-pole stainless steel contact plates also makes installation easier and offers even more flexibility, especially for engine compartments that are becoming increasingly compact. This clip-on version now makes it possible to install additional contact plates at a later date on any point of the high-voltage cable, or to add an extension through an additional contact plate, specifically for large engine compartments such as in SUVs and motorhomes. The connection to terminal 15 has been replaced by sensor technology. Thanks to a contact slide attached directly to the device, there is no longer any need to install a bonnet contact switch.

Which high-voltage contact plate do I need for my vehicle?

In order to be able to trigger an electric shock, a positive and a negative pole is required. The positive pole is provided by the STOP&GO high-voltage stainless steel contact plate, the negative pole by the vehicle body, for example. When it simultaneously touches the stainless steel contact plate and the earth contact of the vehicle body, the marten therefore receives a harmless but effective electric shock, similar to an electric fence.
